The fibre optics of the Pohutukawa Flower, a photo to consider on Friday

The Pohutukawas are flowering beautifully right now. They are known as the New Zealand Christmas Tree because they flower around Christmas time. It looks as if this year will be a bumper flowering.

  3. That is one of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. Does it grow in your garden?

      Thanks Judy. The trees grow all around us here and throughout a large part of New Zealand but we don’t have one in our garden. They line our streets here and that is where I took this photo.
