The native Kowhai trees are in full bloom in my neighbourhood at the moment. The shape and colour of the flowers give the appearance of dripping gold. Our native bird, the Tui feast on the nectar in these beautiful drop- shaped flowers so Tui activity in and around the many, many Kowhai trees is very high.

I only have a “point and shoot” digital camera so the colour is not as resplendent as it is in the natural world but I hope you get an idea of the beauty and abundance of the golden trees.
Nice !
Thank you! I liked your moonshot.
