I have been bringing more persistent action and attention in the past three weeks to an initiative around earning some money.
Learning the ins and outs of different websites has required a lot of persistence
(and a good smattering of walking away and leaving things) at times.

Wonderful image. Good luck with your income-earning endeavours. Someone asked me this week whether I made money from my blog. Quite honestly it’s never occurred to me that I might. I certainly don’t ever want to have adverts on my blog which I understand is one way to make money.
Thanks Ruth. I thought of flowers breaking through the rubble in Christchurch when I saw this picture but it also speaks to my situation. I see blogs as a way to draw people to a product or service but at this stage I am not keen on allowing advertising on my OG blog.

I have had a couple of overtures from companies/people telling me how to make money on my blog now that I have reached so many people, but I think if I were to do so, I would lose some of my followers. So would have to start a totally new blog from scratch.
Well done on gathering such a strong blog following Judith. I would be a little cautious about the people offering information about how to make money from a blog. As you say the purpose of your blog, and mine, is to connect with people through writing.
