I Lol’d at the absurdity of this cartoon….it cheered me no end. My Dad was a stalwart for grammar and the apostrophe but also had a grand sense of the absurd, word play, cartoons…..
Absurd, yes, but I do feel like taking out my pen and paper when I see a mistake which is obvious even to an inexpert grammarian like me.
The Children’s Bookshop here in Wgtn posted this cartoon on FB today. The owner has recently offered her services via a FB post to proof menus for restaurants in return for the meal she has selected!!!
I am like you with my inexpert eye but things I spot do irk me!
