I could not discern any perfume but the beds are raised so I did not get up close and personal to the blooms in every instance. Long arms are my friend to get the macro shots! The blooms were magnificent despite the relentless winds all summer. This garden is relatively sheltered which must help. My roses do not fare so well.
I think the Lagoon gardeners employed by the City Council are very proud of their patch. The beds are well fertilised and maybe watered well? I was heartened to see there was some black spot on leaves after all the humidity we have had – just like I have on mine.
You appreciate a fine rose as I’ve seen in your posts:-)
Exquisite…and beautifully perfumed?

The roses are obviously happy there; the petals are so luxuriant.

Ah, well, black spot on mine too, but that is probably a good sign which indicates no over use of chemical sprays.
I thought that too – minimal chemical stuff used.
What beautiful roses Lynley. Thank you, I feel filled with their fragrance.
I am glad you enjoyed my gift. After such a windy summer it was a delight to find such glorious roses.
they are truly beautiful
Thank you. We all need beauty to enjoy.
Those are truly beautiful, Lyn! Brightened my morning here in windy Scotland!
I’m glad they helped Jo. It has been a very windy summer here but these roses have fared well…..mine have not done so well.
