Demand for sugar water has peaked in the last 10 days. We are seeing groups of up to 10 Tui arriving at the feeder during the day. Aggression is high but sharing also happens at times too.
I have ordered a larger feeder to help keep up with demand.

No I had not seen this. Thank you for the link. I really enjoy her writing and this piece is wonderful. I must work out how to “follow” her. She often “speaks” deeply to me across a range of aspects.
Oh, I hadn’t thought about trying to follow her. That’s a good idea.
I have bookmarked a page that has her columns listed so I can refer to that I am hoping. Her columns don’t appear in the DomPost.

The new and larger feeder went up last evening. So we have 1.5 litres of sugar water on offer now. It has eased my workload but the arguments go on! What an increase in numbers from last year…terrific really.
I hope to post about the new feeder tomorrow.
