I was being watched. They know me and my regular sugar water refilling. There were several Tui in the Melia tree with this lovely one. I think there are wee insects to feast on in the leaves at the moment and the Melia is but a swoop or two from the feeders:-)
🙂 I don’t get watched by birds but when the dog and the cat are outside before breakfast and supper they glue their little faces to the window and watch my every move.
I wish you could hear one of the regular Tui as he/she learns to sing. What began as the most bizarre sounds is slowly developing to mimic the experienced singers. I don’t have a phone that records sadly.
