Our long warm summer has seen dozens of Monarch butterflies in and around the garden. But it was only yesterday at Willowbank Park in Tawa (15 mins from my suburb) that I finally managed to get a photo of one. This one was resting on a native Hebe alongside the path into the park area.
They really are majestic butterflies.
Yes, I know how it is. Monarchs everywhere but never still long enough for a photo shoot. Well done.
I have flitted about for weeks trying to get a Monarch butterfly photo to no avail. This one was very obliging and that surprised me. The ones in the garden here today were as elusive as ever!
Beautiful photo!
Thank you, they are simply beautiful butterflies and endangered in various parts of the world.
Beautiful!! 😀
Thank you. They are beautiful butterflies.
Butterflies are so quick, by the time you set up the camera they are off into the breeze. great shot.
So many have flitted by me this year…..my eye has to record the images:-)
