Yes we had bitterly cold wind and rain today. However this photo was taken in Hastings on Sunday. We went to see my husband’s elderly father for his birthday. This Japonica shone out in the bleak, white and wet conditions.
The Japonica certainly is shining. I am very glad to see it in your post. I was thinking about japonica today and trying to remember the location of the nearest bush in the neighbourhood. I wanted to pick some. Didn’t get to do it though.
I think we have a bush just down the road from home and it is always cheering at this time of the season. Perhaps bringing it to mind was helpful to you.
